Mia Off to College Already?

Oh boy, it's been a long time again. I'm sure no one was waiting with bated breath--or is it baited breath--for a new posting, but I really should be better about posting.

With each passing day, our Mia grows and moves closer to being independent and turning eighteen. Yes it's melodramatic to write, but I dread facing the day she leaves me for college. It's silly. I don't know why I'm this way. I always mourn that there are only seven more days of vacation left at the start of trip. Enjoying the present hasn't ever been easy for me, but it's another one of the many reasons I have Miss Mia in my life. Sweet thing is teaching me to smell the roses, or more accurately, smell the neck jam, spit up, and burp cloth drenched in breastmilk and drool.

A couple of nights ago, Mia had a long giggling session. It was so funny and sweet and we have it on video without her head cut off. Hurray! Ken and I have viewed the clips numerous times while Mia sleeps. Thank goodness for digital video taking technology. My baby will live forever as long as we back-up. (Did you read that bear? Back-up) Anyway, I'll hear Ken watching the giggling clips from the living room and dart over to join him reveling in our babe's laughter. Or he'll hear me watching the clips and next thing I know he's over my shoulder and we just give each other that look that says, "We love her to pieces."

Once I figure out how to post video clips, I'll do so.

Indeed... also, once you capture it onto your PC, you can use services like youtube.com to share video.
