What a mess!

It was a lovely weekend here in Seattle which means we had no rain. Sadly we couldn't enjoy the outdoors with our dear dog Kona because her left knee is bothering her. Being that she does not know her own limitations, we did not take her out to enjoy the weather. Kona would just run around like a rabbit at the park. So she's limited to her short walks to do her business. She's been lifting her knee to walk on the hardwood and we can tell it is stiff when she first wakes up. My poor baby. I can't go through watching her go through another surgery, but it's very likely. Papa feels bad for her too. It's not a big battle like last time, he knows she'll need surgery eventually. Pray for our pup. She's such a joy to me and I want her short doggy life to be a good one.

So, I started thinking that I'd better get announcements ready so that I can just finalize, stamp, label and mail them after the baby comes. Is this part of nesting? What was I thinking when I thought I could make them? Susie lent me a bunch of stuff and I got it at church today. I tried my hand at a couple of simple designs because there is no way, I can get some cutesy complex design with multiple layers, colors, and ribbons together. I just want a postcard type thing with one design on the top or a bottom corner. I burned the paper while heating the powder and the samples don't look good. Somehow the powder isn't melting and the final products look no better than a first grader's Valentines. Oh well...

I do have a back-up plan, here are a couple of annoucements with pups I found online listed in order of preference:

The last one is too expensive for me, otherwise it would be closer to the top. If you have a favorite, do tell.

Well, after dinner, yes after, I ate Flaming Hot Cheetos and an orange. Now my white shirt is covered in bits of embossing powder, red Cheeto dust and orange dribble. I better go start a load of laundry before Desperate Housewives starts.
