Well for a second year in a row, we've had a yucky dinner. It does carry on our tradition of going to cheap eats/dives for Valentine's Day. We just wish it was a good eat. Anyway, read about last year in the Archives.
This year we went to the Steel Pig because Ken had a hankering for southern style BBQ. It's a dumpy kind of place on Aurora with pool tables, some random arcade games, a waitress who looks too young to be allowed in, and a cook who swears while watching the basketball game. I don't know who was playing...We were one of two couples eating there. They received decent reviews on citysearch.com, came recommended, and we had a coupon from our trusty Entertainment Guide. We ordered the Combo for two that came with three sides and three meats. The sides were decent (mac and cheese, rice and beans, cole slaw), but nothing to write home about. The ribs, chicken, and fish were not good at all. The fish was the best out of the three. It's no Everett and Jones in Oakland, CA.
As for my self-imposed deadline for the baptism dress...I fail. I'm up to the neck shaping for the front, but not done. It's almost there though. I'm granting myself an extension until next Tuesday.
I wanted to start something for the Knitting Olympics, but missed the Opening Ceremonies. It's neat to see what everyone's doing.

Thanks for visiting my blog! Congrats on having 10 weeks left in your pregnancy. I am still working on a preemie bootie pattern to match the hat. Your puppy is so adorable, I wanted to kiss that sweet face via computer screen!
