Christmas and New Year's came and went so quickly. It was like whirlwind over here. We had lots of events to attend and friends from out of town. We caught up with an old college era friend, Young Jun who was in town for a brief business meeting. Our old community group leaders Sam and Quenna were in Seattle visiting Quenna's parents, so we met up at the good old kid's section of Barnes and Nobles at UVillage. It was nice to see Lydia and Hannah all grown up. Seemed like we had so much to do and so little time to reflect on 2005, our Savior's birth, and our much anticipated baby. Now that my mom is back home in L.A., I'll have more time to prepare myself for motherhood and think more about resolutions. The first one is to blog more consistently.
My mom or grandma was in town for more than two weeks. It was nice for Kona and Rocky, the Maltese we are/were dogsitting on and off to have my mom at home and vice versa. They kept each other company. She made us meals, helped clean the house, and nagged me about resting more.
Well onto knitting. I haven't posted in ages, but I've been knitting. My baby blanket, initiated even before the positive pregnancy test, has gotten frogged and is now on track. I ripped it out to locate the mistake while Ken was in line for our rental car on Oahu. I must have been working on it for forty-five minutes. It has traveled to many places since it started. LA, Vancouver, Oahu, the Big Island and Vancouver again. I hope to get it done in the next month or so. It needs another good 24 inches! Yikes!
My mom crocheted a little baby sweater while here and I'm working on the finishing for a cardigan from Debbie Bliss's Baby Knits for Beginners.
Promise to post pictures soon. My elann order came too. Just used the gift certificate from my Secret Pal from SP4! Was afraid to sign up for SP7 b/c of the baby coming in April and all. Thought I might let someone down. Anyway, thanks Lillium for the elann certificate. I saved it for a special occasion and bought yarn for baby outfits.
