Yesterday was Chinese New Year and we are officially in the Year of the Dog, 4703. We celebrated by going to Peking Wok in Factoria with our friends Sarah and Esther Park. The meal was not bad.
Baby Song was given another puppy outfit by her auntie Sarah Park's mother. It's quite cute and I can't wait for our baby to wear it. Ken has finished most of the baby room. The little one also received three stuffed dogs from her other Auntie Sarah Kim! She went a little nuts and brought over three stuffed puppies! Thanks for all the lovely gifts.
With our friend Andrew's help, he put up the border last week. It looks great. The green, which I doubted, turned out to be quite nice once the border went up. Pixie Wing, the light lavender, also became more prominent. Ken also put in a new light fixture and it makes a huge difference in the look of the room as well.
Ken was able to pick up the crib today with Pastor Fred's help. He borrowed his mini-van and they trekked to Tukwila, but we hit another snafu! The back of the crib does not have all the appropriate holes drilled into it, so it cannot be properly assembled! Ken does not want to risk drilling the holes himself in case he damages the crib. UGH!!! Another setback in the completion of the nursery. We're trying to figure things out with USA Baby.
Today, I went to knitting and made progress on the baptism outfit. The back side is almost complete. Another couple of rows and it will be done. Thanks to Jeannette who helped me interpret the shaping of the neck and shoulders!
