Nursery Update and Blast from the Past

I thought this past week would be a light one, but it turned out to be quite busy, so this is my first post. I also had an emergency OB visit b/c I thought I might be going into pre-term labor, but it turned out to be normal cramps and aches.

Ken began painting earlier this week. Poor guy, prepped the room and painted both colors by himself. All I did was wipe down the wall areas I could reach. I'll help with hanging the border either tomorrow or Monday. The only thing is the shade of green I chose isn't what I expected. Ken offered to repaint it, but I don't want him to be troubled. He already compromised on allowing two paint colors instead of one. We'll see how it looks when we change the light fixtures.

We finally agreed on a crib and purchased it at USA Baby. Hurray!!! The problem is that it would not fit in our SUV. So we don't actually have the crib at our place yet. We have to figure out what to do there. We did bring home the mattress though. I feel like we're getting closer to finishing up the room.

So many babies recently. Our friends the Dinovo's had twin girls, dubbed the Twinovos last week. Their names are Raye and Sabine. My friend Misun had her girl Ella and Young Jun's wife gave birth to Julia. So far, all girls in 2006!

Today, we met with the Barons! They are visiting from Boston and staying with Joey's brother and sister-in-law who live in Ballard. We have not seen them since our wedding. I can't believe I babysat Reuben and Nina and now they don't really need sitters. Reuben is in 7th grade and Nina is in 5th grade and they are both just terrific kids. Seems like Japanese Anime is the current craze for them. Kudos to Debbie and Joey for raising such well-rounded and articulate children.

Ahh...knitting. I have started a new baby blanket with my purchase of MarL La from Elann. It is knitting up fast! The baptism outfit is now almost nine inches long! This is the most knitting I've done in a while.
