Sharing Box

It was Mia's turn to bring something for the "Sharing Box" at school. Actually she was the first to go. It is a precursor to "Show and Tell". Mia already knows all about Show and Tell from what else, but Caillou of course. I asked her what she wanted to share with her friends, but she was stumped. She also said, she didn't want to share her things. So I changed my wording and said, "what do you want to show your friends?" I think she thought she had to give her things away. We're working on giving our stuff away. She's good at giving her things to people she likes. She has no problem giving her old clothes to Baby Victoria. . .

I gave Mia some options and she choose to bring her toddler chopsticks to show her friends. Here's the video I took of the sharing time. It was a bit chaotic because all the kids were super excited. Notice the scuffle at the end. Preschoolers gone wild. I think Harvey Karp who wrote Happiest Toddler on the Block is the one who calls toddlers, little neanderthals. They just need to learn what is appropriate and inappropriate. When I played the clip for Mia she kept asking why the kids were trying to take her chopsticks. ;(

Baby Victoria very much appreciates the clothes. :-)
