Here are some recent conversations I've had with Mia.
Mia: I want to be a boy when I grow up.
Mama: You can do anything a boy can do.
Mia: Can I pee pee standing up?
Mama: No.
I realize I contradicted myself. Bad Mama. Papa has got to stop peeing in front of Mia. I didn't want a girly girl, but this is not what I bargained for.
Mia: I had a dream.
Mama: What was the dream about?
Mia: Yi qi* (together) princesses making jello. It was scary.
*Mia calls her night diapers yi qi princess diapers because there are three princesses on the diaper.
Mia: When I grow up I'm going to have two car seats.
Mama: Really?
Mia: I'm going to drive Didi in my car.
Funny how she has yet to realize that as she grows up, he will too. But it was a nice thought.

i remember wanting to pee standing up when i was a kid and i wanted to tote my younger sisters around in the car. but i never had dreams about princesses and jello...but maybe i should...hmm.
