What Am I Clapping For?

My sweet Meemster loves to clap these days. It's so cute to turn over and see her clapping by herself. Whenever the people around her appear happy about something her hands come together. I like to think that she's a praising the Lord in her own way.

I like to think my little girl is clapping because she loves life. Compared to other kids, she seems to have quite a cheery demeanor and I'm not just saying this because I'm her dad. She likes to smile which makes me really happy. I want her to enjoy life and really appreciate all the great and exciting things it has to offer. I feel that I've been hard wired from my childhood in such a way that I have trouble appreciating things. In my life, it's always been about getting something done. It's been about the end goal and not necessarily enjoying the journey getting there. I want the Meemster to live life differently. I don't want her to worry so much about where she'll end up as much as making sure she enjoys the ride.

My little Mia claps for life and smiles because she's having the time of her life discovering new things and just spending time with her family :)
